Senior Scientific Advisor – job opportunity

The NIHR Public Health Research programme is currently recruiting for a Senior Scientific Advisor.

This senior post offers an exceptional opportunity for an academic to gain direct experience of the NIHR research commissioning process.

The successful candidate will have significant experience (e.g as a professor, senior lecturer, or lecturer with significant research experience) in undertaking public health research and an understanding of current research within the public health field within and particularly outside the NHS setting.

This post is based at the University of Southampton and may be filled by two individuals (2 days per week each) or one person (up to 4 days per week). There is a minimum requirement for one day a week to be in Southampton plus attendance at Board meetings which are usually held in London.
