RSS Feed

RSS is an easy way to keep updated about the work of NETSCC. Instead of going to our website, our website will send you a message every time there are new projects or publications.

How to subscribe

1. Get a news reader (usually free of charge)

This is software that you can download onto your computer. There are a range of different news readers available and different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account when you make your choice. Examples of news readers are:

Feedreader (www.feedreader.com/)

RSS Reader (www.rssreader.com/)

2. Enter the NETSCC feed details into your reader

 RSS Feed NETSCC News Feed
RSS Feed NETSCC Funding Timetable Feed

If you click on the "RSS" link above you can subscribe to the feed in various ways, including

  • by dragging the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader
  • by cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your news reader

3. Displaying the feed content on a web page

The above will display our feed on a feed reader on your desktop or in your taskbar. However, if you want our feed content to appear on a web page you will need a 'parser'. For a very comprehensive listing of programs that do this, see RSS Parsing Programs by the Utah State Library Division. www.rssgov.com/rssparsers

One example is: The JavaScript RSS box viewer from this URL: www.p3k.org/rss/?setup=true

4. Other options

You can configure your news reader to meet your own requirements. You can also subscribe to other feeds, for example:
