NETSCC manages a range of cross-cutting initiatives supporting research, running alongside the funding opportunities.

The information needs of public health decision makers are supported through the active coordination of research relevant to public health across all funding programmes managed by NETSCC.

NETSCC has been commissioned to develop NIHR-wide guidelines on reducing carbon expenditure in health research. This builds on the success of a recently completed project to calculate the carbon expenditure of a sample of HTA clinical trials.
